Role Overview
As a customer-appointed Field Quality Inspector, the Quality Control Executive is responsible for conducting comprehensive pre-shipment inspections at manufacturing facilities to ensure that products meet defined quality, safety, and compliance standards prior to loading and dispatch.
This role covers inspections across a diverse product range, including mechanical components, electrical home appliances, electronic products, automotive parts and accessories, metal components, and other related items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site quality inspections at manufacturing facilities in accordance with approved specifications, DFC standards, inspection checklists, and sampling plans.
- Perform factory audits, in-process inspections, and pre-shipment inspections as assigned by the company.
- Verify product conformity against approved samples, technical drawings, packaging requirements, labeling standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Prepare accurate, timely and comprehensive inspection reports, including clear photographs and supporting documentation.
- Maintain professional and effective communication with factory representatives; promptly escalate critical quality issues or non-conformities to the QC leader.
- Identify defects, quality risks, and process deviations during inspections; document findings clearly and work proactively with factories to recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), including follow-up verification where required.
- Collaborate closely with the sourcing and account teams to review product specifications, golden samples, testing requirements, and quality expectations prior to inspection.
- Monitor factory quality performance trends and provide feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure inspections are conducted in a safe, ethical, and compliant manner, upholding company integrity and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in product inspection, quality control, or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, CAD files, technical specifications, and blueprints.
- Practical knowledge of inspection tools and measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, multimeters, gauges, etc.).
- Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia or Bahasa Malayu.
- Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for inspection reporting and data analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive mindset and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in quality-related matters.
- Must be accessible via email and mobile phone during working hours, with flexibility to accommodate inspection schedules.
